September 13th and 14th - The league resumed after the international break with change in the dugout at Nottingham Forest. Ange Postecoglou was in the hotseat but Nottingham Forest suffered a second consecutive three-nil defeat, this time at Arsenal. Two goals from Zubimendi and one from Gyokeres made it three wins from four for Mikel Arteta's side. North London rivals Tottenham also made it three wins from four. They heaped more suffering on West Ham and Graham Potter, also winning three-nil. All the goals came in the second half with strikes from Sarr, Bergvall and van de Ven. Tomas Soucek was sent off too to put the tin hat on the day for the Hammers.

Bournemouth won a south coast derby, beating Brighton two-one. Antoine Semenyo's penalty in the second half proved the difference between the sides. Newcastle beat Wolves one-nil to record their first win of the season. Nick Woltemade scored the only goal on his debut. It was the same scoreline at Craven Cottage where the unfortunate Gabriel Gudmundsson headed past his own keeper in injury time as Fulham beat Leeds.

Two games finished scoreless. Everton and Aston Villa failed to find a goal between them. Villa still haven't scored a goal this season - it's two draws and two defeats for Unai Emery's side so far. Sunderland's good start to the season continued - they picked up a very useful point on the road, holding Crystal Palace scoreless at Selhurst Park. The late game on Saturday night saw the points shared in another London derby. Chelsea came from behind against Brentford to lead two-one but Fabio Carvalho rescued a point for the host when he bundled home in injury time.

Two games took place on Sunday - Liverpool huffed and puffed and finally made the breakthrough in the 95th minute against Burnley. Mo Salah scored the only goal from the spot following Hannibal's concession of a penalty. That's four wins from four for the champions, three of which have come in injury time. The Manchesrer Derby ended with a three-nil for City. Erling Haaland scored twice, making it fifty Premier League goals in fifty league games at the Etihad.

Alain Verjans, one of our newcomers this season, leads the September competition on 71 points - he was one of six people to pick up an extra fifteen points this week after correctly predicting Nuno would depart Nottingham Forest first. Second place is shared by three people - Dave McGinley, Johno Percy and Joseph Leppla. Robert Gaffney completes the top five for the month so far:

September 20th and 21st - A win in the Merseyside derby on Saturday leaves Liverpool five points clear of the rest. Arne Slot's side maintained their 100% record with a two-one win over Everton. First half goals from Gravenberch and Ekitike had the Reds two up at half time until Idrissa Gueye pulled one back for the Toffees. The leaders held on for another three points without the need for an injury time goal this time out. The headline game of the weekend saw Arsenal and Man City share the points at the Emirates. Another Erling Haaland goal looked like giving Pep Guardiola's side the win but Gabriel Martinelli scored in injury time to rescue a point for the Gunners.

Arsenal are one of three sides on ten points. Spurs came from two down to earn a point at Brighton while Bournemouth and Newcastle failed to muster a goal between them at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Chelsea's unbeaten record went by the wayside at Old Trafford on Saturday evening - Goalkeeper Robert Sanchez was sent off in the first five minutes before Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro scored twice for the hosts. Casemiro then saw red too but Chelsea's comeback fell short despite Trevoh Chalobah's late strike.

Crystal Palace are the only other unbeaten side - they heaped more misery on Graham Potter and West Ham winning two-one in the London Stadium. Wolves remain bottom of the table, pointless after five games. Leeds picked up their second win of the season, winning three-one at Moulineaux.

Elsewhere, Aston Villa scored their first goal of the season in a one-all draw at Sunderland. It also finished one-all at Turf Moor between Burnley and Nottingham Forest. Saturday night's game saw Fulham move into the top half of the table following a three-one win at home to Brentford.

No changes in the top two this weekend with Alain Verjans holding a three point lead over Dave McGinley in second. Robert Gaffney is in third place followed by Paul Moore in fourth. Three players then share fifth place on 100 points - Brian Haughton, Johno Percy and Joseph Leppla - full details below:

September 27th and 28th - Liverpool's 100% start to the season came undone at the hands of Crystal Palace. Eddie Nketieh fired home an injury time winner as Palace became the only remaining unbeaten team in the season. The leaders looked like rescuing an unlikely point when Federico Chiesa equalised late on but Nketieh had the final word as Oliver Glasner's side climbed to third in the table. Arsenal closed the gap at the top to just two points. They trailed late on at Newcastle but late goals from Merino and Gabriel gave them a two-one win.

Spurs, Sunderland and Bournemouth are next best on eleven points. Both Spurs and Bournemouth needed late equalisers to earn a point - Spurs drawing at home to Wolves (their first point of the season) while Bournemouth share the points and four goals at Leeds. Sunderland's impressive return to the top division continued. Omar Alderete scored the winner as they won one-nil at Nottingham Forest.

Erling Haaland scored twice in injury time as Man City beat Burnley five-one. The pressure increased on Rubin Almorin across Manchester as United lost three-one at Brentford. Igor Thiago scored twice in that one with Caoimhin Kelleher also saving a penalty from Bruno Fernandes. Chelsea's second defeat of the season followed a three-one defeat at home to Brighton. Trevoh Chalobah was sent off as Danny Welbeck scored twice for the Seagulls.

Aston Villa picked up their first win of the season - they had to come from behind to beat them three-one. The final game of the weekend will take place on Monday night - West Ham will visit the Benny Hill Dickinson stadium to face Everton with Nuno Esperito Santo in charge after Graham Potter received his marching orders over the weekend...

With just one game to go in the monthly competition, Alain Verjans leads Dave McGinley by three points. It looks like the second monthly prize of the season will go to one of these two. Brian Haughton has climbed to third place with Robert Gaffney now fourth - full details below:

September 29th - The month ended with a one-all draw between Everton and West Ham in the Moyes Derby. The hosts took the lead with a Michael Keane header in the first half but Jarrod Bowen's second half equaliser ensured a point for the Hammers in Nuno's first game in charge.

Only seven people predicted a draw in this one - none of those were in the leading positions meaning Alain Verjains wins the monthly prize for September. Dave McGinley finished second with Brian Haughton third:
