May 2nd to 4th - With the title and relegation issues already settled, the focus for the last four weeks of the season will be on the battle for the European places. Arsenal's league form has fallen off a cliff in recent weeks - they lost again on Saturday, two-one at home to Bournemouth. Rather than closing in the leaders, Mikel Arteta's side are looking over their shoulders at the chasing pack.

Man City are in third place. Kevin de Bruyne scored the only goal as they beat Wolves one-nil on Friday night. Newcastle needed a late Alexander Isak penalty to earn a one-all draw at Brighton. Chelsea are fifth in the table - they caught the champions after a week of celebrations, winning three-one at Stamford Bridge to boost their hopes of a top five finish.

Nottingham Forest slipped up at home to Brentford on Thursday night - they'll need a win at Crystal Palace on Monday night to move back level on points with Newcastle and Chelsea. Aston Villa beat Fulham one-nil - Youri Tielemans scored the only goal at Villa Park as Unai Emery's side remain three points outside the top five.

Elsewhere, Man United's dreadful domestic season continued. A four-three defeat at Brentford was their sixteenth league defeat of the season. Tottenham are a place below in 16th - they drew one-all with West Ham. Leicester got the better of fellow relegated Southampton winning two-nil at the King Power Stadium. The final three o'clock kick off at Goodison Park saw Everton let a two-goal lead slip as the drew two-all with Ipswich. Funnily enough, they didn't celebrate this result as much as they did a certain other two-all draw a few weeks back...

Joe Behan is the early leader for May after picking up 47 points this week. Gary Donnelly is second, just three points off the lead. Three people then share third place - Brian Mullen, Helen Fadian and Robert Foley - full details below:

May 10th and 11th - The battle for the top five continues to intrigue. Newcastle won the big game in that contest this weekend, beating Chelsea two-nil on Sunday. Goals from Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes leave the Toon with a three point cushion from sixth place. Aston Villa were the other winners of the contenders - Ollie Watkins scored the only goal in a one-nil win at Brentford. Villa are only behind fifth placed Chelsea on goal difference now.

Man City surprisingly dropped points at Southampton, drawing nil-all but remaining in fourth place. The Saints were relieved to know that with that point they've surpassed the Derby County side of 2007-2008. Two draws in the week weren't ideal for Nottingham Forest. A one-all draw on Monday night was followed by a two-all draw at home to Leciester to leave them a point outside the top five.

Arsenal came to Liverpool and gave the champions a guard of honour. They did leave Anfield with a point though, fighting back from two down to draw two-all. The two Europa league finalists both lost two-nil at home. Tottenham lost at home to Crystal Palace while Man United were beaten by West Ham. Hard to imagine one of those will be in the Champions League next season.

Everton's good finish to the season continued with a three-one win at Fulham. Brighton also won on the road, winning two-nil at Wolves. Brentford also picked up three points on the road - they won one-nil at relegated Ipswich.

Joe Behan continues to lead the way in May. He has a twelve point lead at the top of the standings, twelve points ahead of Brian Mullen in second place. Robert Gaffney is in third place with Kev Dalton and Paul Moore completing the top five - full details below:

May 16th to 18th - Declan Rice scored the only goal in the big game in the battle for the Champions League spots. Arsenal beat Newcastle two-one to pretty much secure a second place finish between the champions Liverpool. Newcastle's defeat means three teams have 66 points heading into their last games.

Chelsea are fourth in the table after a one-nil win at home to Man United on Friday night. Marc Cucurella scored the only goal for the Stamford Bridge side. Aston Villa also won on Friday night - they beat Tottenham two-nil to climb to fifth in the table.

A bad weekend for Man City saw them lose one-nil in the FA Cup final to Crystal Palace. The wins for Chelsea and Villa mean they've dropped outside the top five too - they'll need to get a positive result against Bournemouth on Tuesday night to move back into the Champions League spots. Nottingham Forest picked up a win on Sunday to keep their top five hopes alive. They won two-one against West Ham and remain a point outside the top five heading into their final game against Chelsea. If they win that they'll finish sixth at worst.

Everton signed off from Goodison Park with a two-nil win at home to Southampton. Both goals came from Iliman Ndiaye as the Toffees bid farewell to their old home. Jamie Vardy also made his farewell in style - he opened the scoring for Leicester in their two-nil win at home to Ipswich. Sunday's other game saw Fulham score twice late on to beat Brentford three-two.

Joe Behan still leads the monthly competition with a score of 112 points. Brian Mullen remains in second place, a familiar position for an Arsenal supporter, but is just two points off first place. Robert Gaffney is still third with Philip Jordan now in joint fourth place alongside Kev Dalton - full details below:

May 25th - The final Sunday of the season provided plenty of drama with the final Champions League positions decided. Two wins in the final week saw Man City clinch third place - they beat Bournemouth three-one midweek and then won two-nil at Fulham on Sunday to ensure their season wasn't a complete writeoff. Levi Colwell scored the only goal at the City Ground as Chelsea beat Nottingham Forest to finish fourth. Forest will have to settle instead for a place in the Europa League after a great season.

There was controversy at Old Trafford. Ten-man Aston Villa had a goal harshly disallowed at nil-all before Man United scored twice late on. That defeat means there won't be a repeat of Champions League football at Villa Park next season. A win for Villa would have seen them secure a top five finish as Newcastle ended the season with a one-nil defeat at home to Everton. Carlos Alcarez headed home a second half winner leaving the Toon Army biting their finger nails until the end.

Mo Salah, predictably, had the final word at Anfield as Liverpool were presented with the trophy. They drew one-all with FA cup winners Crystal Palace as both sides gave each other a guard of honour on to the pitch. Runners up Arsenal completed their campaign with a two-one win at relegated Southampton.

Europa League winners Tottenham went out in a blaze of glory, losing four-one at home to Brighton. They'll console themselves with Champions League football next season despite finishing seventeenth in the table. The other relegated teams also lost - Leicester losing two-nil at Bournemouth and Ipswich losing three-one at home to West Ham. Sunday's final game saw Wolves and Brentford share the points after a one-all draw.

Joe Behan won the first monthly prize of the season in August and bookends that nicely winning the final monthly competition of the season too. He had eight points to spare over Carl Toner who had an excellent score of 67 points to finish second. Helen Fadian finished third, level on points with Philip Jordan. Brian Mullen completed the top five for May:
