August 15th to 18th - Champions Liverpool kicked off their title defence with a hard-fought 4-2 win at home to Bournemouth on Friday night. The Reds looked to be cruising to victory with goals from Hugo Ekitike and Cody Gakpo giving them a two goal lead shortly after half-time. Howver, Bournemouth fought back to level from two Antoine Semanyo goals. Federico Chiesa came off the bench to score before Mo Salah's customary opening day goal ensured the champins opened with a win.

Man City are the early table toppers after a four-nil win at Wolves - two Erling Haaland goals were supplemented with strikes from Tijani Reijnders and Rayan Cherki. Europa League winners Tottenham Hotspur started off with a three-nil win at home Burnley - Richarlison scored twice in the one. Newly promoted Sunderland won by the same scoreline on their return to the top division - they beat West Ham three-nil at the Stadium of Light.

Perennial runners-up, Arsenal, started their campaign with a one-nil win at Man United. Ricardo Califiori headed the only goal at Old Trafford. United's strategy of sacking the tea ladies and spending big on attackers has yet to pay off. Nottingham Forest started where they finished off last season. Chris Wood scored twice in their three-one win over Brentford. The 34 of you who picked Keith Andrews in the sack race will have enjoyed that one.

Saturday's early game finished nil-all between Aston Villa and Newcastle. Chelsea and Crystal Palace also failed to muster a goal between them - Palace were unlucky not to score when Eberechi Eze's free-kick was ruled out for an infringement. Rodrigo Munez scored a late equaliser for Brighton to deny Fulham an opening day win at the Amex Stadium. Leeds United were the second of the promoted clubs to open their new campaign with a home win. Lukas Nmecha scored a late penalty as Everton were beaten one-nil at Elland Road on Monday night...

Kieran Killeen tops the first leaderboard of the season. He scored an excellent 49 points to open his campaign for the season. Six people are then just three points further back, a rogues gallery comprising Anastas Popov, Bobby Hynes, Finbarr Corkery, John Brophy, Jonathan Fox and Richard Johnston:

August 22nd to 24th - It's a North London one-two at the top of the table after this weekend's games. Arsenal hit Leeds United for five at the Emirates to lead the way on goal difference. The 39 people who picked Victor Gyokeres as one of their strikers picked up four bonus points as the Swede scored a double on his home debut. Spurs also made it two wins from two - they beat Man City two-nil at the Etihad with goals from Brennan Johnson and Joao Palhinha. Despite Spurs having a great record against Man City, nobody predicted that result - the first game this season to record zero points in the competition. The two North London teams are the only teams to win their first two games - Liverpool could join them with a win in the Alexander Isak playoff on Monday night...

Chelsea came from a goal down to beat West Ham five-one on Friday night. The crisis deepens for Graham Potter's side who have lost both opening games and shipped eight goals in the process. They're joined on four points by Nottingham Forest who drew one-all at Crystal Palace on Sunday - Callum Hudson-Odoi cancelling out Ismaila Sarr's opener.

Eleswhere, Everton's first competitive game at the Hill-Dickinson Stadium saw them beat Brighton two-nil. It was the same score at Turf Moor where Burnley beat Sunderland in an early season meeting of two of the promoted clubs. Bournemouth and Brentford both recovered from opening day defeats with one-nil wins at home. The Cherries beat Wolves and Keith Andrews' side defeated an out-of-sorts Aston Villa. Man United are in the familiar position of sixteenth in the table - they drew one-all at Fulham. An own goal had them ahead early in the second half but Emile Smith-Rowe earned a point for the home side.

A score of 44 points this weekend sends Joseph Kavanagh to the top of the standings. He's three points clear of Richard Johnston in second place. Kieran Killeen is in third place. Fourth place is shared by Bobby Hynes, Craig Whelan and Peter Lavelle - full details below:

August 30th and 31st - Liverpool are the only team to have won their first three games. Dominik Szoboszlai's stunning free kick was the difference as the champions saw off challengers Arsenal at Anfield. His goal was one of the few moments of pure quality in the game as Mikel Arteta's gameplan of leaving with a point came unstuck in the final ten minutes. Chelsea remain unbeaten after a controversial two-nil at home to Fulham. The Cottagers had a decent looking goal ruled out by VAR before goals from Joao Pedro and Enzo Fernandez either side of half time gave Enzo Maresca's side a second win of the season.

Crystal Palace are the third of three teams unbeaten heading into the international break. They stunned Aston Villa with a three-nil win at Villa Park with goals from Mateta, Guehi and Sarr. Unai Emery's side are second from bottom with one point and no goals from three games. Tottenham's 100% start to the season came to a disappointing end. They were beaten one-nil at home by Bournemouth. The only goal came in the first five minuntes when Evanilson scored for the Cherries. The South Coast side finished Saturday seventh in the table.

Jack Grealish continues to look a shrewd acquisition by Everton. The loanee provided another two assists as David Moyes' side won three-two at Wolves. Kieran Dewsbury-Hall's goal proved to be the winner as the Midlands' side lost their third consecutive game at the start of the season. Man City lost for the second time in three games - they let a one goal lead slip at Brighton as Brajan Gruda scored a last minute winner in a two-one win for the Seagulls.

Sunderland will hope their strong home form might be a valuable asset in their fight to stay in the top division. They came from behind to beat Brentford two-one at the Stadium of Light. Wilson Isidor celebrated becoming a father this week with a winner in the 96th minute. West Ham eased the pressure on Graham Potter with a three-nil win at Nottingham Forest. The goals all came late on with Bowen, Pacqueta and Wilson giving the Hammers a first win of the season.

Newcastle remain without a win - their need for a new striker was illustrated by a second scoreless draw in three games. They drew nil-all at Leeds and sit only a couple of places outside the bottom three. Man United won the early-season relegation six-pointer at Old Trafford. Burnley had come from behind twice before Bruno Fernandes scored a penalty deep into injury time to secure a three-two victory for the under fire Reds.

A hard-fought monthly competition ended with victory for Joseph Kavanagh. He had just two points to spare over Jason Maloney who finished the month strongly but fell just short of top spot. Richard Johnston finished third with Craig Whelan and Robert Foley sharing fourth place:
