April 1st to 7th - A double round of games this week ended with the three title chasers separated by just one point again with seven games to play. Arsenal lead the way on goal difference after two victories - two-nil and home to Luton and three-nil at Brighton. Liverpool's win at home to Sheffield United on Thursday night saw the Reds two points ahead going into the weekend. Once again though, their inability to convert chances at Old Trafford came back to haunt them. When Bruno Fernandez and Kobbie Mainoo cancelled out Luis Diaz's opener it looked like defeat for Jurgen Klopp's side. However, a late penalty from Mo Salah rescued a point for the Reds. Ask me in six weeks whether it was a point gained or two lost...

Man City are in third place after two wins this week. Aston Villa were dispatched four-one at the Etihad on Wednesday night and City scored four at Crystal Palace on Saturday to finish the weekend on the shoulders of the leaders.

Tottenham ended the week in fourth place after a three-one win at home to Nottingham Forest. They're ahead of Aston Villa on goal difference now with a game in hand. Villa dropped points at home to Brentford after a three-all draw. Brentford came from two down to lead in that one before Ollie Watkins rescued a point for Unai Emery's side.

Everton were one of the big winners at the bottom this week. Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored in both games this week a one-all draw at Newcastle and a one-nil win at home in the Dyche Derby against Burnley. The Toffees are four points clear of the bottom three after picking up four points this week. Their fate could rest on an imminent decision on whether they've breached FFP rules again - they're doing their best on the pitch though to not have to rely on that.

The three promoted teams are in the bottom three - Luton did manage a win on Saturday though, they beat Bournemouth two-one after being behind. Sheffield United scored an injury time equaliser at home to Chelsea to pick up a point - they're nine points from safety though with just seven games to go.

Brendan Maguire leads the April competition at the end of the first week. He picked up 93 points this week and has a four point lead over Dave McGinley in second place. Three players share third spot, nine points behind the leader - Dylan Delaney, Gareth Pierpoint and Niall Gregory - full details below:

April 13th and 14th - The table has an all-too familiar look about it as Man City were the only one of the top three to win this weekend. City took care of their own business, beating Luton five-one at the Etihad. That sent them two points clear at the top of the table on Saturday evening with Arsenal and Liverpool to play on Sunday.

Liverpool's recent bad run continued as Crystal Palace left Anfield with all three points. An early goal from Eberechi Eze sent them on their way as they proved to be Liverpool's krypotonite once again. Numerous missed chances added to the frustration as Jurgen Klopp's side suffered consecutive home defeats. Arsenal had a chance to return to the top of the table but late goals from Leon Bailey and Ollie Watkins saw Unai Emery pocket three points from his former club for the second time this season. A Sunday of surprises which leaves Man City odds-on favourites for a fourth title in a row.

That win at the Emirates leaves Villa three points clear of Tottenham who crashed to a four-nil defeat at Newcastle on Saturday lunchtime. Tottenham have a game in hand with a worse off goal difference on three. Eddie Howe's side move up to sixth in the table ahead of Man United who drew two-all at Bournemouth.

At the bottom, Sheffield United's defeat at Brentford leaves them ten points from safety with six games to play. Burnley looked to be heading to thrre points against Brighton until a late own goal meant they had to settle for a point. Nottingham Forest moved a point clear of Luton with a two-all draw at home to Wolves.

Brendan Maguire leads the April competition for a second week - he has an eight point lead over Dave McGinley in second place. Joe Behan and Niall Gregory share third place on 111 points. David Cooney scored an excellent 46 points this week to move up to fifth. Full details below:

April 20th and 21st - Arsenal and Liverpool both recovered from European disappointment this week to pick up hard fought victories on the road this weekend. With Man City busy buying an FA Cup Final spot, Arsenal returned to the top of the table following a two-nil win at Wolves. The goals came late in each half with Leandro Trossard and Martin Odegaard on the mark for the leaders. Liverpool responded with a three-one win at Fulham on Sunday. Trent Alexander-Arnold's free-kick set them on their way with goals from Ryan Gravenberch and Diogo Jota sealing a must-win game.

A good week for Aston Villa saw them move six points clear of Spurs in the race for fourth spot. With England unlikely to achieve an extra Champions League spot, Unai Emery's side came from a goal down to beat Bournemouth. Tottenham don't play now until next Sunday when they host Arsenal. Let's hope they keep the top four race alive then : )

At the bottom, Nottingham Forest went into a Twitter meltdown after losing two-nil at relegation rivals Everton. The Points Deduction Derby went the way of the Blues after goals from Gueye and McNeil. Forest were aggrieved after they were denied three penalties in that one. Everton look safer after that win. They're five points clear of Luton who lost five-one at home to Brentford with just four games to go. Burnley are making a decent fight of their relegation battle - they won four-one at Sheffield United and are three points from safety.

Brendan Maguire remains top of the April leaderboard having lead all month. He retains his eight point lead over Dave McGinley in second place. Third place is shared by four people - Con McSweeney, Joe Behan, John Brophy and Patrick Mifsud - see below:

April 27th and 28th - With Liverpool's title challenge crumbling over the past few days, the two remaining title race protagonists picked up good away wins on Sunday. Arsenal were three up at half-time and held on for a win despite Spurs pulling back two second half goals. Man City kept in touch with a two-nil win at Nottingham Forest - goals from Gvardiol and Haaland leave the reigning champions a point behind the leaders with a game in hand.

Liverpool's defeat at Goodison midweek followed by a draw at West Ham on Saturday left Jurgen Klopp's side five points off the lead with just three games to go. They have secured a return to the Champions League next season though. Aston Villa lost a two goal lead at home to Chelsea and needed a VAR intervention to prevent a defeat in injury time. Unai Emery's side now lead Tottenham by seven points but the north London side have two games in hand.

At the bottom, Sheffield United's long expected relegation was confirmed following a five-one defeat at Newcastle. The remaining two places look to be between three teams. Burnley picked up another point in their unlikely survival bid. They drew one-all at Man United (who can't now finish in the top four). Luton lost two-one at Wolves and remain in the bottom three. They're one point behind Nottingham Forest and one ahead of Vincent Kompany's side.

Everton and Brentford are both safe - the Toffees fourth win in five came against Thomas Frank's side on Saturday evening. In mid table, Fulham and Crystal Palace drew one-all while Bournemouth beat Brighton three-nil on Sunday afternoon.

Having lead from the start of the month, Brendan Maguire held on for victory in the April competition. He had a seven point cushion over Con McSweeney in second place. Thomas Nolan finished the month strongly, taking over the lead in the overall competition but falling just short in the monthly. The top five for April was completed by Sean O'Mairtin and David Cooney - full details below:
